Let’s do all that is in our power to save Sergei Udaltsov.

By their treatment of Sergei Udaltsov the authorities have shown they have a well-practised mechanism of repression that can be used against anyone of us.

I call on all those who are not indifferent to take part in one-person pickets in support of Sergei wherever you consider it necessary and possible. It should be remembered that a one-person picket requires neither the permission of the authorities, nor that they be notified in advance. Let’s do all that is in our power to save Sergei Udaltsov.  Let's hold as many one-person pickets as possible, and preferably in the centre of Moscow, so that officials, judges, prosecutors and members of the public see our pickets and realize that there are a great many of us, and we are all against the repressive regime of Vladimir Putin. - from Grani.ru

Lev Ponomarev lives in Moscow and is director of the Movement For Human Rights.
