Activists
On 27/6 a Moscow court placed civic activist Mark Galperin under house arrest on extremism charges. (Radio Svoboda, 27/6)

On 29/6 Ilya Novikov, a deputy head of the Open Russia civic movement, said he had “temporarily” left Russia to avoid what he called “persecutions.” (RFE/RL, 30/6)

On 29/6 a jury convicted Zaur Dadayev of shooting dead Boris Nemtsov. Four others were convicted as accomplices. The men were allegedly promised $250,000 to kill Nemtsov. (BBC, 29/6)
