Ingushetia: Ilez Gorchkhanov's Body Found

On April 19, 2011 around 4:20 pm in the channel of Assa River near stanitsa Nesterovskaya of Sunjenskiy district of Ingushetia the corpse of Ilez Gorchkhanov, born 1984, was found. He was abducted on March 21, 2011 by unknown (http://www.memo.ru/hr/hotpoints/caucas1/msg/2011/03/m242491.htm).

After two days of the abduction around a hundred of Ingush residents organized a spontaneous meeting in Nazran protesting against abductions of people and demanding to find Ilez. The action was dispersed by the police (http://www.memo.ru/eng/news/2011/03/24/2403111.html).

Ilez's corpse was found by the locals who told the police. The policemen informed the relatives and asked them to identify the body. After the identification they took away the body but soon gave it back to the police for medical examination.

According to preliminary information there aren't any stab and gunshot wounds on the body. But according to the relatives there are marks of suffocation, one eye is knocked out.

To all appearances the corpse had been lying in water for a long time, because it swelled out.

On April 20 Ilez Gorchkhanov was buried.
