29 October 2010
10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
On October 29, on the threshold of the state Day of the Memory of the Victims of political repressions we would like to recall by name those people who were executed by shooting in Moscow during the years of Stalin terror. We would like to give personal character to the days of memory.
In 1937-1938, in Moscow more than 30 thousand people were shot.
Stepping in for each other, since 10 a.m. till 10 p.m. we will be reading the names of the shot - only name, surname, age, profession and the date of the shooting.
We will name thousands of people on this day.
During the day some excursions relating to the history of political repressions will take place - Building of the Military board of the Supreme Court, House of the Government (the museum of the House on the embankment), Ivanovskiy monastery (ex- concentration camp), Lubyanskaya square, Varsonofievskiy lane (toxicological laboratory of the NKVD).
We invite to participate in the action everyone who wants to honor the memory of the victims of the political repressions.
With all the questions, please, contact Irina Ostrovskaya via e-mail or telephone (495)699-65-71, 650-78-83.
