Person of the Week: Zhanna Nemtsova

On 12th June 2015 Zhanna Nemtsova, eldest daughter of 
Boris Nemtsov, accepted the Freedom Award on behalf of her father, to whom it was awarded posthumously, at a ceremony in Wroclaw, Poland. The week before Zhanna Nemtsov had said that she had left Russia because of fears for her personal safety. Speaking in Wroclaw, Zhanna Nemtsova announced plans to set up a foundation in her father's name. The Moscow Times, citing Interfax, quoted her as saying: 'The fund will support concrete projects to establish Russia as a civilized and prospering state, and it will also engage in memorial activities.'
