On 15 July 2015 five people were arrested in Moscow out of a total of 10 who took part in an action in support of the pop star Zemfira. Participants drew a Z in the colours of the Ukrainian flag on the asphalt in chalk near the Olympic sports complex in Moscow and held up a banner that read [in translation]: 'Don't be daft, it wasn't me who declared war'.

Recently Russian promoters have cancelled contracts with Zemfira after she waved a Ukrainian flag at a concert in Tiblisi, Georgia.
