"To be honest, I don't like this decision, because the European Union is a huge, fairly bureaucratic organisation, and it's clear what role the prize will play in its future policy -- none, in my opinion. [...] I would be very glad if this prize was given to political prisoners in Iran or (Russian) human rights defenders, but not the European Union, although I like the European Union."
