Arseny Roginsky, Memorial Society: The Ministry of Justice’s accusations are completely unfounded (Deutsche Welle)

The Supreme Court of Russia could as early as November decide to close the Russian Memorial Society. Arseny Roginsky, member of the organisation’s board, says in an interview with Deutsche Welle that this won’t hamper Memorial’s work.

On November 13, the Russian Supreme Court will start hearings on the claim of the Ministry of Justice on the liquidation of Russian Historical, Educational, Charitable and Human Rights Society Memorial. Arseny Roginsky, chair of the board of the International Memorial Society, spoke with Deutsche Welle about the claims of the Ministry of Justice, to what extent they are justified and what Memorial will do in case the lawsuit is decided against Memorial.
