Dear Colleagues and Friends!!

Today is 3 November. At 5am criminal investigation police came looking for me at the address where I am registered in Volgograd. When I didn't open the door, since at the moment I am in The Hague, they began to knock on the doors of my neighbours. My neighbours tried to find out why they had come at 5am and what the criminal investigation police wanted, whether I had killed anyone. The police officers replied that maybe I had killed someone.

This morning after consulting with my colleagues - lawyers and human rights defenders - I've decided not to return to Russia, since at 5am the police come either to search your home, or to detain you.

Now I am in Holland, and have decided to cancel my flight to Russia for the sake of my own security. As soon as journalists and lawyers receive any information, I'll tell everyone about it. Thanks to everyone for your support!"
